Even though the equipment is cleaned after every treatment,
it must be disinfected at least weekly to help decrease the
chance of bacterial growth.
EQUIPMENT:
- small bowl
- white vinegar and water
- paper towel
- plastic bag
PROCEDURE:
1.) Wash hands with soap and water.
2.) Disassemble nebulizer cup.
3.) Soak all parts except the tubing in 1 part vinegar to
3 parts
water (be sure hollow parts are filled).
4.) Soak 30 minutes and then rinse with tap water.
5.) Air dry equipment (place on paper towel with another
paper towel covering equipment)
6.) Place in plastic bag after dried and reassembled.
7.) Wipe down outside of compressor with damp cloth.
*Keeping your equipment clean is an important step in keeping
your lungs healthy.
